Road Trip 2007

New Orleans

Next

"On the road again, going places that I've never been." (Imagine Willy Nelson and his gravely voice singing away.)  Yes, I have decided to create a Deja Vu memory.  I am headed back to New Orleans in my usual manner, using the back roads of America.

For starters, it is Friday the twentieth of July and I am in Folsom, CA at my son Todd's new home, having arrived last night.  I am busy photographing interesting and unusual things.  For starters, I already have photos of a female Barn Swallow that set up house keeping in the entry way of their home.  It is full of expectant babies with beaks open wide enough to engulf them selves, expecting the next morsel of food.

After Todd's, I am continuing East on Hwy 50 (not exactly a back

road.)  I am doing this route as I am interested in taking photos of the South Lake Tahoe fire area, if I can find it, so off I go.

After South lake Tahoe, I am going south and heading towards Mono Lake to camp for the night.  Then to Ely, Nevada, destined eventually, to visit with my friends in Fruita and Glade Park, Colorado, USA.

My plan is to continue East through Colorado and Kansas and then eventually I'll swing south and head for New Orleans.  Stay tuned and visit this index page often as I will be updating it with future links as I make progress towards New Orleans as well as my stay there and my return.  In another words, this will be my index page for all future postings.
